This is the Millennium tower, the second tallest in Rotterdam. A lot of other towers were proposed the last decades on this location, most called Plazatower, but this one is finaly build.
The tower is located very close to Rotterdam Central Station, only 2 minutes to walk. The hotel in the tower is the Westin Hotel Rotterdam. The Hotel is located in the lower section of the building, the offices above that. The total office floorspace is 14.000m2. Under the building is a parking located for 131 cars.The building begins on 8 meters below groundlevel, a 2 meters thick floor and 340 piles begins their.
The Tower is built together with the congress-center behind the building. The tower is connected with that congress-center by a bridge. I've made a lot of pictures of the construction of this tower, which you can find here:
